I used to belong to Washington Mutual bank which was taken over by JP Morgan Chase Bank. As of February of this year if you do not have direct deposit, a minimum balance of $1,500.00 or keep an average qualifying deposit and investment balance of $5,000.00 or more they will charge you $10.00 a month service fee.
My mistake was not paying attention to when this transfer happened on my statement so 4 months went by on two accounts costing me $80.00. They would not help in any way when I contacted them (very cold response). I then closed my accounts immediately. I now have my accounts with Wells Fargo, I don't know if they are going to be much better but I do know I don't have to pay this fee with the accounts I set up.
Do not have your accounts with JP Morgan Chase Bank, I have had one other interaction with them similar to this, they DO NOT care about their customers only raping you for as much money as they can.
