I had an account with providian then it was sold to emerge. I had some late payments so I was set up in a payment plan.

The payment plan was supposed to be automatically taken out of my account for 3 months then all late and overdraft fees would be taken off. Emerge was supposed to send me a bill stating what the new monthly payment was. They never did it. When I called to see what was going on, they said the nice man I had spoken to hadn't finished putting in the information, so the payment plan never went into effect.

I was reset-up on another payment plan. But I had to send almost $300.00 first. Then I was told to pay 3 months on time with the specified amount. Then no more late or overdraft fees. I complied.in July I called to see if what I was doing was correct they said that after july 12 I wouldn't have anymore late or overdraft fees.

It is now October I have called every month since July asking why I am still being charged overdraft fees. I have been told that they would call me back with the information. No one ever called.

I called Wednesday or Thursday and was told that they never finished the paperwork and that they were going to start the program that day.

When I asked what about the last 3 or 4 months of being charged for their mistakes they said they were sorry and I would still have to pay for those overdraft fees. I told them I wouldn't and I didn't feel I should be punished twice for their mistakes. They said they couldn't help me. I said I was going to see about a lawer. But honestly I can't afford one.
