When we switched to TransOne Merchant Services, we asked the rep that this new service be identical to our previous. Specifically that it be month-to-month, and have no annual fees or start up fees. The rep who came to our store, Ryan De Vitis - (regional manager according to his card), assured us that this was so, and slapped a thick contract in front of us, whipping through it saying sign here, here, here, etc giving us no chance to read anything. He came across as ernest (but perhaps was a good confidence man), since we were immedately charged a startup fee and an annual fee. We called and got those charges removed back then. Now when we want to cancel our service, we find out the contract was apparently for 3 years not month-to-month as we had been assured, and that there will be a $495 early termination fee or we have to continue paying the monthly fee until November racking up $388 in fees before we will have the 'option' to cancel their 'service'. We are so very peeved.
