I applied for a loan online and this guy named thomas harper contacted me and said I was approved for a loan for 12000 dollars. He faxed me a contract and had me send him a copy of my employment check and drivers license. The terms of the contract stated that I would have to make my first five payments upfront and then they would direct deposit my money into my account within one business day. I was to send them the money through walmart's moneygram dept and it was to be cash. I spoke to this man for a week and even up to the day my money was to be deposited. He even called me a few times to let me know they were working on it. So by 4pm the day of the deposit, i had spoken to this man a few times already, but then all of a sudden the phone number became disconnected and the website was gone. I should have listened to my gut instinct but thought well maybe its just coincidental that there were some red flags going up that this might be a scam and it is!!! I reported it to my local sheriff's fraud division and changed my bank account number as well. I may not know where they really are but God knows where they are and believe me they will reap what they are sowing... No one escapes the consequences of their behavior. Lesson to be learned is to pay attention to those red flags because they really mean something. I feel bad for everyone else who has experienced this crime, but it's only a matter of time before they get so greedy and screw up... They will get caught and I am going to do everything in my power to make sure of it!
