I started out a few years ago with a $5,000 credit limit with Care Credit when I got braces on my teeth, and I faithfully paid them, on time, and used the line of credit several times after the initial time.
I never made a late payment that I can remember, and my balance is now down to under $200.00.
Recently, I got a letter from them stating very strongly that they are reducing my credit limit to $500.00 after a routine review of my credit report & guess what? Not a thing has changed on my credit report since I started using my Care Credit card!
My guess is that because I always paid on time within the no-interest promotion period, they haven't made any money off me and I am not useful to them.
I had referred three family members to Care Credit/GEMB, and all three of them have had problems with them.
I am closing my account with Care Credit immediately. How a company can have this many complaints about them (just Google their name and see how many results come up) and still be in business is beyond me.
Goodbye, Care Credit.
