At&t universal card (now a citibank co) upped the rate arbitrarily to 22% from my previous 7.9%, been with them since 08/1999, my mid score is 752 with the credit bureaus, no debt but mortgage, never been late... I called for supervisor, gentleman in India sends me back to USA, so called supervisor said nothing they could do, so I said cancel, will find another... That was on 12/8/09. I checked my point balance yesterday and its 0! I had accumulated 97304 points and because I cancelled the card, they took away the points without any notificaiton, even when I said I wanted to cancel the card! What kind of customer service is this??? I called yesterday (1/15/10) and talked to supervisor, said nothing she could do, could have reinstated the card within 30 days but we are now out of the window. I asked her why they bother to mention the "Thank you points" would disolve, and she didnt know... Said I should write to the President, Ken Stork in South Dakota (yeah, like that's where he really lives or ever going to get my letter)... But I am going to write to him and give them 30 days to respond or I am grabbing $250,000 out of Citbank and cancel my business account and card with them! Will keep you posted!
