JP Morgan Chase Bank 9 Months and Holding for Refinance

Since March we have been trying to refinance our home and a couple of small rentals with our long time bank, Chase. We were first directed to Bloomington, IL and after six months of no action we were directed to the Peoria main office.

Another two months with no action and I started picketing in front of main bank. My sandwich board sign read, "Chase Bank Too Big For the Little Guy" on the front, and "$24 Billion Not Enough for Chase" (bailout of our money) on the back.

After a couple of hours a loan officer came out and asked me in to speak with him. I entered the bank and then his office wearing my sign. An appointment was made to set things right and we were told there would be no charges for the refinancing. Of course they would still keep the $1,200 we had already paid them.

Another three months and we finally receive all the paperwork for refinancing three loans, one for our home, and two for our 'mom and pop' rentals to the refinancing tune of $16,900. So much for fast, smooth service for their present customers and no promises kept.
