Lost Payment

I made a payment through my online banking (also B of A) just as I have done every month for the past 3 years. The payment was made mid November '09 and it was on time. Two weeks later I received a call stating that I owed a late fee of $47. While on the phone, I stated that the payment was already made but went ahead and sent in an additional $50 to cover it. Since then, I have received calls from a debt collector every 2 - 3 days because they have not received my payment. Both I and Bank of America have sent in proof of payment to the Bank of America Home Loans research department. The December '09 payment went in via check and was received fine.

Latest inquiries to B of A are that the Home Loans department still need more time to research this and the earliest B of A can contact B of A Home Loans for any further information is January 5th.

They lost my money within their own company and now I have debt collectors hasseling us and our credit score is certainly going to be affected by this. Funny thing about this, when I was able to speak to someone about this and they couldn't find my payment (even though they have the proof that it was sent on their screen) they had the nerve to ask if I wanted to refinance with B of A at that time.
