In November I ordered a anniversary gift for my hubby from SPIEGEL. It arrived BROKEN. I returned it & Spiegel was to credit the shipping since it arrived BROKEN. I had to run out here to buy another one.
In Jan I received a LATE PAYMENT notice from Spiegel for $12.95 SHIPPING. I called FCNB and was assured the balance was $0. Later that year I received a letter from LAW OFFICES of MITCHELL KAY stating that I owed FCNB $149.63. I wrote Kay's office and told them I DID NOT OWE ONE DIME. They ignored me. Several months later I receive another BILL from a collection agency stating I OWED $1496.30. Someone had added a 0 to the $149.63 balance Kay's office said I owed.
This is a BAD DREAM. I have NOW received a CAPITOL ONE preapproved VISA application for this $1496.30!!! I have called, written and rewritten. I DO NOT OWE THIS COMPANY ANYTHING! The account from KAY has an 'OFFER' to settle for $74.53 dated June 26. I will not pay anything i did not incur! Calling is useless, writing is usless. These CONS are reporting this as 2 (TWO) ACCOUNTS 1 due $149.63 and ANOTHER at $1496.30. THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING that can be done. ANYONE know a NEW YORK ATTORNEY who wants to SUE these Crooks
