I already have had issues with this "company" and am anxiously trying to pay them off. I've never dealt with loan sharks, but hope this is the closest I ever come to knowing what it is truly like. I won't even address how my $22,000 furniture lease was brokered to them and has end up costing $45,000!
You know you are truly dealing with a "less than reputable" company when they insist on charging $222 per month for "Failure to provide proof of insurance" ESPECIALLY when they did receive proof from my insurance agent. They claim they tried to call him to tell him he needed to list them as "Loss Payee" on numerous occasions but could never reach him. So I was charged $222 and they claim this will not be fully refunded even though they now have the proof with them as loss payee and they know there has been insurance on the furniture continually since purchase! WHAT A GREAT RACKET for a dishonest, out to make a buck company.
This is only one instance of rip-offs I've dealt with Pawnee Leasing. If you want to know about the others, lease with them and you too can experience the nightmares first-hand!
I also was told (as I saw in another post here) that you are told "no penalty for early pay-off". They do tell you that and there is no truth to it. You are expected to pay the full amount (interest and principal) regardless of how quickly you pay it off. Totally contrary to what I was told in the beginning. However, now I suspect they are having financial troubles but they offered to take off $2,000 or so. Very nice of them considering I have already paid them about $15,000 more than the furniture I purchased 3 years ago even cost and still have to pay more. Loan shark =Pawnee Leasing.
