I have several complaints about Ocwen Federal Bank. First of all I had to file Bankruptcy because I was two months behind on my mortgage and they would not work with a credit counselor or me.
Secondly, I had to send my lawyer to court several times DURING the bankruptcy because Ocwen put my home in foreclosure. Each time I went to court, I won and got to keep my home, but had to pay several hundred dollars in legal fees to my lawyer AND to Ocwen.
Also, I was three months behind on my mortgage by the time I filed bankruptcy. Even though monthly payments were only $865, somehow I owed them $7600! Then halfway through bankruptcy, they put ANOTHER $7600 on my bill even though I had been making monthly payments to trust and to Ocwen for current payments.
They also never paid my tax bills even though I pay money to escrow. Finally, the balance on my loan with them is $76,000, but somehow the pay off is $95,000. The mortgage company I am re-financing through suggested that I consult a lawyer because I am getting ripped off with unsubstantiated fees.
