Dun & Bradstreet called us today attempting to extort money to make their D&B report accurate.

The conversation I just had with Mark Engler ([email protected]) shocked me for such a formerly reputable company. Mark informed me that he was a credit specialist and wanted me to give him our top creditors to improve/fix our report. I told him I was not comfortable giving him that information, that is what you do, why are you asking me. I informed him that we are debt free and not in need of credit.
He then told me that I do not have an option. I aksed him what is this going to cost. He told me $499.
I declined his offer and expressed that the D&B information should be accurate all of the time and not contingent on me paying for them to correct it.
They charge companies to release the information. Why wouldn't it be accurate? I will not pay, nor will I ever trust D&B information for my business. Why would anyone buy information from this company??
