Ripoff fraud business give you a bad credit rating even after you have notified them many times that this account was paid in full to another agency

Palisades is a collection company that comes along a couple years after you have paid off an account and says that you owe them thousands of dollars on a delinquent account. They continue to give you a bad credit rating even after you have notified them many times that this account was paid in full to another agency. They never send you correspondence, just the credit reporting agencies. This has been going on for 5 years now and they won't stop.
