In June I was notified that Palisades Collection had purchased my account from another collection agency. The AT&T mobile telephone bill was not being paid after it was rung up by my ex-wife who eventually skipped town and left me with the collection since the telephone was on my account.
I paid the collection monthly and Palisades was paid in full on 4 July the total owing on the AT&T account, 119 dollars and some odd cents.in my November credit report, it was still reported as 120 days overdue.in my August credit report, the same entry is there for one of the three CRAs. I noticed that the date reported was February.
How can you have an account from Palisades Paid In Full in July and still have it appear on a credit report in August. Why hasn't the derogatory information been removed. They have made no attempt to remove the information from my account. I had previously read that Palisades was natorious for doing just that. After receiving payment in full, they do nothing to your credit report.
