Experian is set up to help business to determine if a consumer is credit worthy. As an accountant I commonly use Experian in my line of business. From this point on, I will not!!! I have had something reported to them that was incorrect and I have sent all proof and the proper forms required to remove information that is reported. The company that misreported has also gone above and beyone the call of duty to correct this wrong. Experian is impossible to deal with and treats you as if you just crawled out of a cave. They refuse to remove the info even thought the wrong doing company has asked them to do so!!!
What is a consumer to do??? I can understand now why so many little things stay on a persons report, its because they run out of energy time and patience to get it corrected.
The same information was reported by this wrong doing company to Equifax and Transunion, however, these to bureaus were more than helpful and expedient in correcting this information.
If you have to have anything removed from Equifax, GOOD LUCK!!! I have done everything "right" and it didnt matter.
If anyone has had the same experience and was able to get through to these ignorant people ~ please help!!!
