Experian allowed an IRS revenue officer to pull a hard copy of my credit report for no authorized reason. The FACTA Law of 2003 makes it clear that the only legal reason for pulling a credit report is if the consumer has requested credit. The consumer must either request credit or authorize the credit report being given out. I did neither.
Then when I tried to get Experian to correct their error and remove it (and points restored) the website says you need to send 2 types of ID which I did. I got their response; not enough ID. No number to call, no way to reach them, no info to follow-up, just a dead end.
Experian is at fault, I am a victim, and I have NO WAY to reach them. That is bad! I have filed a BBB complaint and they don't respond. I am doing what I can to get there attention because they broke the law, affected my credit rating, and refuse to do anything about it. I didn't choose experian to represent me and it appears I can't get them to stop!
