Washington Mutual continously and deliberately delays posting deposits in order to create an overdraft situation.in one (1) month I was charged $546.00 in overdraft charges.
This occured because of one overdraft charge that caused a chain reaction causing me to be overdrawn every day, even after I would make a deposit to cover the overdraft I would be overdrawn the very next day.
These overdrafts WERE NOT CAUSED BY BAD CHECK WRITTING, they were the result of Washington Mutual times posting of deposit to the DISADVANTAGE of the account holder.
When I visited my branch I was refunded $100.00 of the $546.00 but that was all. It is my opinion that this refund is an admission of guilt. I Washington Mutual was not in the WRONG, why refund any portion of it. Additionally if this refund was the first $100.00 that I was charged, then my account would have not been in an overdrawn status the remaining days of the period.
The overdrafts were creating overdrafts, sounds decptive to me. Anyone in California experiencing similar problems & interested in Class-Action lawsuit? Hit the rebuttal button and let me know.
