In reveiwing our bank account via the internet we found a charge for $79.95 from CIC*CREDIT MONITOR S. I was not aware of any transaction with this firm. I used Google to find the information that this was a rip off fraud and in reviewing the other consumer reports I found one that had received a credit the next day by e-mailing consumerinfo.com.
I followed through with this action as well as notifying my bank that this was an unauthorized charge and directed that it be removed. My wife was convinced I had answered some offer through my e-mail but when I searched my e-mail folders using the words; credit, monitor and free their "offer" did not appear.
