I was contacted by capital recovery services on an old credit card account from 1998 saying I owed twice the amount that was on the card but they made a settlement with me over the phone and I even had them send me proof that they owned the account and they did.
Here's the deal they accepted from me, a one time overnight payment of 3,000 dollars, then $25.00 (30) days from that date every month for a total of 84 payments until total remainder balance was paid off.
Now I just received today july 20 a civil summons to appear in court from another agency saying they represent the credit card's bank and the account and they are sueing me for the full amount. I don't know what to do!
Someone please help me!!!
