About 5 yrs ago i closed a Capital one account i had by offering them a payoff of over 600.00 on a 250.00 credit card. I admit i should have paid before it got to that point however i offered them a settlement and paid it using my bank card.
Now they are saying that the payment was not a settlement on a balance that was over 800.00.. They stated that i still owed them more than 200.00. I tried severl time to get this taken care but cannot seem to get it stright. They even admitted that a settlement is usually 200.00 less that the balance and that's what my payment was. I never got a call back. My recent call to them states that i am now deceased. WOW how did that happen. Again i left messages with the estate department
Again no reply. But they can send my 17 year old daughter offers for a credit card. I would not let her get a card from the even if the overed her a 5000.00 limit. They really need do a better job or get out of the business. My creidit has a big write of by then that is over 5 yrs old and as you may have guess the credit agency wont remove it. I also have other that are more than 7 or eight years that they wont remove. If there is some one who can school me on the Metro sofeware i would appreciate it. The honest way does not seem to be working for me...
