I am going all they way back to the beginnig of this mess that I should have seen coming at me like an atom bomb.in June I was trying to figure out what tp do for the three months I would be out for a surgery, when some guy called offering a refinance. I explained how I would be out of work and that it seemed like a bad time, but he explained how the refinance could help me by deferring payments for a few months and cashing me out. It would pay off all credit cards and leave the two mortgages. My new payment would be a few dollars more than the old one with taxes and insuranced escrowed. Two weeks before surgery the signing date was set and the guy informed me that the payment was going to $100 more. I was shocked by this and he told me it could not be helped, because I was going into my first conventional loan. With surgery looming I went ahead and set up the appointment. Two weeks later everything was signed and I was going over it when I realized that they did not include taxes or insurance (red flag I missed). I called and was told I could cancel since it was still in the three day territory, but I would owe my other mortgage (which there was no way for me to pay at this point). A few days later I recieved a letter informing that Ocwen was now in charge of my loan.
So here I am six and a half years later (December) when I am informed that I will be laid off until further notice. During lay off I will bringing home $100 less a month than I am use to and missing profit sharing that usually covers those taxes and insurance that got dumped on me. I called Ocwen right away and sent in all the paper work for a modification, after a month I finally called them back to be told that I do not earn enough money for them to help me.in February I heard about the Obama plan and got excited thinking I might finally get the help I needed, because it was getting to much asking friends and family to lend me money and the credit card is not a permenant solution. The day it came out in March I went to Kinko's to fax all the paper work I was told I needed. Ten days later I recieved a call tell me that the forms was received and I should hear something with in ten days. Two full weeks later I call to find out what is going on and I am informed that the paper work has changed and I need to send in the update forms and my most recent paper work. That evening I return to Kinko's and off it goes. Ten days later they recieved the paper work and I need to wait ten more. Again I wait two full weeks for ten business days and call them to find out what is going on. They need my most recent tax forms and I can email them since I did this online. I email them right away and I was informed to wait 48 hours. Two days later they have recieved them and I need to resubmit them (I do this three times for a total of four times to this email address). Finally some guy takes sympothy on me and has me email him directly and he forwards it to the department that needs it. Needless to say after I called them to inquire this time they finally call me three to four times a day to inform they have not recieved my taxes (be glad they are not calling you). Ten days later I recieve the call telling me they recieved my paper work and should hear something in ten days.
Again two full weeks later I call on May 25th and I am transferred to the lady in charge of my case. She proceeds to rant and rave that she just recieved my paper work and is working two to three weeks out and not to bother her again until June 15th. I made sure to inquire whether everything was there and she insured me that it was. On June 15th I call and left a message for her to call me back so that I can find out how everything is going (her message says not to leave multiple messages so I waited). Well July came in and I had to start paying back some of the loans I took out to pay my mortgage, so I missed my first payment. July 10th I finally recieve a call back and she told me to call her after 2:30 pm. I call back and get voice mail and inform her that I am returning her call and hope to hear from her this month. Well today July 16th she called and made a point to mention she called last week and acted as though I never returned the call and also put on a show about how she is trying to help me out of the situation I got myself in (like I am a dead beat). Anyway it appears that the only paper work they have now is the taxes and the new 4506-T form. Funny that form was faxed with all the new paper work 4/09/09. At this point I am just sick and tired of the run around and feel they are trying to squeeze every last drop out of me before they proceed with a foreclosure. I already know I cannot pay nest month either and at this point I am saving everything I can to move. I honestly don't think I could trust them if they did offer me a way out, so good luck to anyone else dealing with this company.
