Mark, Jason Smith, George Miller harassing phone calls, being yelled at, calling my place of employment, threatening to have me arrested

I began receiving calls from this company about a month ago. The first time I answered one of the calls an Indian speaking gentleman named Jason asked if I was me and asked me to hold for very important message. I waited and another Indian speaking gentleman named Mark got on the phone and told me that I was having a lawsuit filled against me for not repaying my loan. I asked which company he was calling from and he replied cash net.com but it was not a company I had dealt with. I told him I never took a loan from them and that they needed to stop calling my phone as it was registered on the do not call registry. He became notably irritated and told me I was a deadbeat. I hung up and called the company with which I had a loan through.

After speaking with my loan company I called these people back and asked to speak to a manager. I was asked for my name and when I refused to give it to them they hung up on me. I waited then called back. I told them I had received a call from this number and ask what it was in reference to, that we had been disconnected. I was transfered back to "Mark" and he said "It is a good thing you called back as you were going to be getting arrested in an hour, are you ready to pay your debt?" I told him I had called the company I took the loan from and that they said I was in good standing with them, that they were in no way affiliated with the company he worked for. Mark again ask if I was going to pay him the money I owed and I said "NO! I owe you nothing" He began yelling at me and I yelled back, asking all the time to speak to someone who spoke English, an American preferably (no offense intended to anyone) as I could not understand half of what he was saying. He hung up on me and I called back. Mark then said to me, "Good God woman, is that all you know how to say is no? When your husband asks for sex you say no, when your children ask for chocolate you say no, all your life is going to be NO". I calmly asked to speak to a manager and he asked if I was going to pay him. I told him no and that if they called my phone again I would be the one pressing charges and I hung up.

About a month went by and no calls until yesterday. I was at work and a call was transfered to my office extention. An Indian speaking gentleman by the name of Jason Smith ask if I was me and when I said yes he asked me to hold for an important message. Again another gentleman got on the phone claiming to be George Miller. He told me that the Federal Gov was filing 3 lawsuits against me for some violation, check fraud and something else. He told me that I would be getting papers delivered to my job in two days and that the two people I put as references on my application would also be getting them. He had my full name, ssn, address, bank name the names of my references, their phone numbers, everything I had put on my application.

I told him I would be calling the company who I have a loan through and would call him back. He told me that it was good for me to do research and he would allow me the time to do it. About fifteen minutes later I received another call from them asking if my research was done and if I was ready to make payment arrangements. I told them I was not paying them anything and if I received another call from them at my job I would file suit against them for harassing me while I was at work and hung up.

I feel for those who have fallen or will fall prey to these scam artist. I truley hope that this complaint reaches people and that they do not fall victim. Taking out a payday loan is a last resort for many, as it was for me. You pay and pay on them and when all is said and done that $300 or $400 you originally borrowed has turned into $1000. Once I get my two loans payed off I will never take another out, especially on line. I will be closing my bank account and watching my credit report closely for anything out of the norm.
