Independence energy announced a 5:1 stock split in June. The stocks were locked out of trading for 4 days after the stock split, but during the time, the stock price was decreasing about 50% each day from the previous day's closing price. I could not do anything with my holdings but to watch the values of my stocks diminished to nearly nothing.By the time the stocks are available for trading again, it has lost 90% of its value.
