Debt to Montgomery Ward from 1996 for $194 was sold to Arrow financial in 2000. Due to Montgomery Ward filing Bankruptcy and now goes by Wards.
Problem: Arrow Financial decided to start reporting on my credit WITHOUT contacting me and for $389 (did not know I owed this) in 2002.
I am currently trying to refinance my house and noticed this "weird company" on my credit report. After doing some research, found the company and called them to discuss and pay.
I was told it was in their Whitewater, Wisconsin office and transferred to Mr. Yosh. Mr. Yosh informed me where the debt originated, and that Arrow Financial had added their fees to that totalling $418 to date.
I then asked why I had not been contacted and he stated they had called a area code 304 # without getting me on the phone 50 times... Mind you I am in a 614 area code...
I then asked for a detail of the amount owed and for which account... Refused... Asked for the address of the Wisconsin office REFUSED... Asked for anything... Refused... Mr. Yosh told me it was not his problem and I now owed over $410 to his firm. I requested a letter or bill explaining charges when he refused to provide this to me. He then refused to speak with me any further on this issue.
I would love to see a letter explaining and documenting what I owe if anything, and this cleaned OFF my credit report!!! I will pay anything that is true debt to me, nothing more... If they can report on my file, they can damn sure find my right phone number and address!!!
