On the above date, I contacted Anthony Christopher and asked about their services for an unsecured business loan to help us get through the current recession. I explained that we had recently been cheated by another company who promised to get us a loan, took our $1000 fee, and disappeared. I also explained to him our personal and business credit scores and asked him if that was going to prevent us from securing a loan. He said, "NO, we deal with investors who look beyond just the scores". The then sent me an application to fill out, TOOK $299.00 from me, and then said it would be 2-2 1/2 weeks before I heard from a lender to gather more information. I heard NOTHING for 3 weeks. I have been emailing him every day for a week now, and have left several phone messages for him. He sent me a "Loan Guidance Form" via email, listing 3 banks, and told me to go to their individual websites for instructions on how to submit the "application" I had filled out. His email then said his company, him and I were no longer affiliated. The company name on the letter was FirstAmerigo. I had never heard of this company, nor had they ever previously contacted me. I had dealt ONLY with Anthony Christopher and AFS
Needless to say, there are NO INSTRUCTIONS on any of these websites on how to submit this online application. I have since called and emailed Anthony Christopher for further help on getting this done, although I thought that was what I was paying HIM for, but he has completely ignored me.
Now I'm out another $300.00 for services promised and not received. These types of businesses prey on people who are in need of help, take their money, and then disappear on you. Something should be done to stop them. This is my first step.
