Wells Fargo Bank
Incompetent, money-hungry, Nazi's the business that doesnt give a dam

Let me start off by saying that each and every employee at Wells Fargo Bank is an incompetent, heartless, degenerate that obviously has been denied employment at other MORE worthy establishments such as Taco Bell and Mobile gas station.

In 1997 I made the mistake of opening a checking and savings account with Wells Fargo. I was set up with a free student checking account that supposedly had no fees. From the very beginning, I started to notice these fun little $2.00 fees that randomly popped up on my statements. I would call, they would remove the fees. Every month.

After submitting myself to 3 years of torture, I finally screwed up-I admit it. I allowed a friend to cash a personal check for $1000 through my account (signed over to me). Although WFB verified funds at the time that I cashed the check, by the time that it cleared the bank that it originated from, funds were not available. I then had a returned check for $1000 and a friend that was $1000 richer (who I also have not spoken to since). My account was overdrawn, checks bounced, fees piled up higher and higher and higher.

I owed WFB a little over $1,000 after all fees for returned checks, overdraft, etc. Had been assessed. I was a 21-year-old working full time and going to school full time. My job did not pay me enough to support myself and pay off this sudden $1000 to WFB plus pay all the fees to all the companies who I owed NSF fees to for the checks that bounced. I had to save the money, and by the time I was able to pay it WFB had reported me to an outside collection agency. I finally paid that off with the collection agency. So far, my fault.

Well, since I had been reported to ChexSystems I was unable to open an account ANYWHERE. I went back to WFB last month thinking that maybe now they would allow me to open an account. They said "No Way", but pointed out that my savings account was still up and running. I hadn't even touched this account in over 3 years. Didn't even know it existed! The personal banker recommended I utilize the savings account as a checking account. He said I could get an ATM card, everything. Then after a few months attempt to open a checking account again and maybe WFB will see the consistent history and agree to open an account for me. How blessed I would be. I'm sure the Feds would love to see how WFB employees comply with their attempts to monitor money supply. M1, M2? Does it matter to WFB employees?

So I'm happily a member of the banking world once again when I go to my local ATM and attempt to withdrawal cash. I get a splending little message telling me that my ATM card has been confiscated by the machine. That was a Friday night. So Monday morning I go into the branch, tell them what happened, and explain that I would like my card back. That's when WFB's colors began to shine through. They were able to give me my card, but my account had been frozen. Of course they did not know why. I had to call Loss Prevention for that info. Loss Prevention didn't know either, so I had to call Overdraft Recovery or some crap like that. They said I owed $300 for the same damn account that had already been paid long ago for $1000! I had never heard anything about this. They said to call National Reserve Corp., the outside agency, and get a letter from them stating that it was paid in full. So I called, but they have a 24-48 turn around time on getting these things out. I requested that they fax it directly to the VP at the branch that froze my account (keep in mind, nobody really knows who closed my account-the branch says it was Loss Prevention, Loss Prevention says it was the branch itself).

Anyhow, the people at National Reserve Corp. Were extremely helpful. They said they would do their best to fax the letter directly to WFB by the next morning-Wednesday. I called WFB Thursday and they told me it still hadn't come through. I called Friday and they said nope, still not here. So I called National Reserve Corp and they said they have confirmation that it was sent on Wednesday, two days earlier! I called WFB and spoke to another one of the incompetent asses that works there and he said "It's not here, what do you think we do throw things in the trash?" So now I have to wait until next week to see if the asses at WFB can receive that fax.in the meantime, I have rent that was due yesterday, May 1st, auto insurance due on Tuesday May 6th, and a car payment that is due today. Because my paycheck is direct deposit, I can't even take it elsewhere to cash it to at least pay my bills. Funny how they will allow my money to come in, just not go back out to me. These bastards have 15 different offices keeping up information for one, little savings account and they can't get their damn info straight. So here I am, borrowing cash from a friend since I can't get my own out of my checking account because one of their departments out of all the many shows that I still owe money, even though all other offices show it's been paid. Bills are due, my landlord is going to crap his pants if I don't pay him by Monday, and my auto insurance will lapse if not paid by the 6th. Does WFB care? HELL NO! They are earning all kinds of interest on my money. Good for them. I hope they know how to spend it in HELL where they all will go!
