I received a letter and a check in the mail for $4920.34 from a company named Consumer Promotions Internation, Inc. The check appears to be a legitimate check and the letter states that I have won $250,000.00 because my name was attached to an enty slip with a serial number 431465 and it drew the lucky number 22-26-42-44 and will be paid by certified check via next day fedex and to contact Jessica Gordon or Barry Smith at 1-866-264-5570 ext 332 to get more info and to not cash the check until I have talked to them. It states that the letter is from the office of C Ferguson, VP Finance, Markham, Toronto ON and the letter was sent on 4/14/09. It also tells me to contact my tax agent Donna Anderson or Grace Johnson, 33 Benedict Court, Athens, GA 30605. There is a reference number GBF 62347-CP. I attempted to call the number and was directed to a man who claimed his name was Barry, speaking very poor English and he told me that I had won the money and then I got disconnected. I have tried to call the number back several times and have not been able to speak with another person.
