I bounced a check at Wal-mart, as soon as I was notified, I instantly rectified my mistake. Then a week later, I wrote a check at another unrelated store, and the check was denied. I was given a number to call, regarding this transaction. I called the number and it was a company that was blocking my checks from being honored. I was told it was due to the bad check reported by Wal-mart. I was told Wal-mart had to report to them, that I paid Wal-mart. I stated I did pay it, they said talk to them. When I spoke to Wal-mart, they said they do not deal with reporting that the issue is resolved.
So for 3 months I could not write checks, due to Wal-mart not reporting to the company that it was resolved. They had no problem reporting this to the company, but couldnt be bothered, to remove, the negative report. I know I was wrong to bounce a check, but how long do I have to loose, my checking account for? I have a friend who had this same problem, she said, its been 8 years, and Walmart still refuses to take a check from her. Come on Wal-mart, a bit of over kill?
