Aegis Mortgage UC Lending ripoff consumer fraud ripoff

I had worked a year to clean my credit, work at a job, and pay my bills on time in order to get a better mortgage loan. My loan at that time was with Fairbanks Mortgage Company, having been sold several times previously.

Fairbanks was always unpleasant —even hanging up on, providing incorrect information etc.
When I felt I was ready, I used an internet "placement" to find three companies to apply to. Two out of three would not accept my loan for at least another year. The third company was UC LENDING, Larry Heydon, broker. I was very clear as to my reasons: wanted lower rate but also a reputable company to handle the loan.

I had several conversations with Larry regarding Fairbanks mortgage — especially the fact that a class action suit was being prepared against them. Larry agreed that Fairbanks was not a reputable company — that he had heard many negative things about them. He assured me multiple times that Fairbanks was not one of UC Lending's "preferred lenders". He told me my mortgage was with Aegis Lending — a very "reputable company". I paid over $10,000.00 in "buy down" points to get a lower rate, feeling great that I would be rid of Fairbanks. Larry claimed he was not able to get a payoff amount and I gave him my copy.

The day of signing, both Larry and the title company representative laughed about Fairbanks, calling them the "Nazis of the mortgage industry" — again assuring me of the loan with Aegis. They did tell me that the loan would be sold but again said that Fairbanks was not one of their preferred lenders. Two months later, I received a notice from Aegis telling me the LOAN WAS SOLD TO NO OTHER THAN FAIRBANKS CAPITAL the very company they had laughed about and assured me otherwise! I paid 10,000.00 in points to be with the same company. I am now mortgage for $20,000.00 more than I was before with the same horrible company.

I was taken. Since then, the UCLending web site is now being connected to the AEGIS mortgage site. They are one in the same. I made tons of phone calls to UC LENDING, speaking to the manager of the office, Scott and to Larry. Larry responded by saying "he didn't know" and there was "nothing he could do". Scott told me to put it in writing.

I did so and faxed over the letter. Scott never returned any of my calls and neither did anyone at AEGIS. Beware of pond scum.
