In an effort to repair my ex-husband damaged credit I paid for a secured credit card with Capital One in 1998. I sent them $50.00 a non-refundable application fee and was sent a credit card 1 month later. Before I even had the card in my hand I was charged an annual fee of $29.
The second bill I received had inaccurate charges on the account with several repeat billing from the same business. I notified Cap One and was told I needed to pay not only the incorrect charges but the $25 late fee & $25 over limit fee along with 19% APR. I told them I was unsatisfied and they should close my account. I checked my credit report today and found they have listed $1120.00 balance due on this account. Strange since I only incurred charged of $141.00. They suck salmon. Pam
