Dan Doyle was a longtime guest on a very legitimate radio program in CA where I contacted him about investment opportunities in real estate. The properties we were interested in were in Louisiana. We put 36K down as earnest money on three properties and my wife went to view the properties in Jan. After some due diligence we decided to pull the plug on the deals. Dan Doyle wrote us three 12K checks after a couple months of waiting for our money to be returned in March. The checks bounced and I have been trying to collect the money ever since. He wired me 6K over the summer in two installments and another 6 K in Nov. He claimed that the 3K 3K wires that were sent in the summer where good faith interest payments, but at this point, I would just like to get the remaining 24K that he still owes me.in Jan he committed to a payment plan to pay off the agreed upon debt of 30K, but he has not made a payment since agreeing to the plan. Here is the text of the email I received Feb 2:
"Robert:
Thanks for your patience in allowing us to get this matter settled over time. We are going to attempt to make the payments a little larger than you and I discussed in today's conversation.in the event we cant make the numbers I'm shooting for then I will make a payment of at least that amount as a mimimum every week until its settled.
Per our discussion to reduce the balance owing we agree to pay you the sum of $6,000.00 by the end of January and $6,000 per week until the balance has been paid off in full.
I'll be in touch around the end of the month.

I have just recently viewed a couple usacomplaints.com submissions against Dan Doyle and Southwest Realty that were submitted in the past month. He has always been reachable, very apologetic, but ultimately lying every time I have spoken with him. He is an outstandingly good blow-off artist. I have heard him lie to me every week for over a year and he is still able to do it convincingly. I have met a lot of liars in my day, but Dan has to be tops. He always claims they are going to get money wired to him or a deal is closing and he is confident he will be able to pay off the debt by X date. He has sent just enough money to make you think he is sincere. His ability to sound sincere while lying through his teeth is almost unmatched.
I also believe he may be running a Ponzi scheme that is unraveling, since I have looked at his website and his "investment" opportunities are increasing in their level of down payment. Apparently his tactics are now getting everyone else who he has screwed to also take other legal steps against him. I would love to be able to get in touch with other investors who have been hurt by Dan Doyle and see if there is a way to recoup our losses and/or have him prosecuted.
