I applied for a personal loan on the internet. It was stated that the lowest amount that could be applied for was $5000.00. I was told that the loan was approved and that it had to be a secured loan. At first the amount required was $930.00 and was later reduced to $770.00. The loan funds ($5000.00) were to be disbursed within one business day. We were given the option of either direct deposit or next day Federal Express. We chose Federal Express. The amount of $770.00 was transmitted by Moneygram as requested by Springdale Lending Group. The transaction took place on March 13 which is a Friday. I waited until Monday (March 16) and called Springdale Lending Group about the non-receipt of the $5000.00 check.
I was told that a discrepency with the credit report that an additional $770.00 was necessary and that the funds could be released within three hours. I was advised at this point that I had two options:
1) Send the additional money
2) Cancel the loan request
I cancelled the loan and was told that the refund would be processed on March 27 and would be delivered by Federal Express on March 28.
The $770.00 Moneygram was sent to Kimberly Fox Alberta Canada on March 13.
