I stopped at a used appliance store to buy a dishwasher, picked one out and paid for it. I told the man that my stackable washer dryer (dryer) part was making a loud noice. He said his driver would pick up that when he dropped off the dishwasher to me. When he came with the dishwasher he had no wrap on it and drug it in so that it was dented and scratched by the time he brought it in. He told me I could just paint that. He started to take out the washer dryer unit and did not have the water main turned off. It took me all day, night and the next to use towels, dryers etc. To get the rug and linoleum dry, it still isnt dry. I called the company, they didn't seeem interested and told me the owner was out three days in a row, no call about my dryer and I had three baskets of wet towels. For two days, no water because we couldn't find the correct nozzle to plug up the hole he left in the wall so we couldn't turn the water back on. I kept calling and even asked them to bring me back another unit until mine was fixed. They never called me back. Finally, I went back to their place. The owner was there, I looked for my w/d but did not see it. He told me he would call me with a price.
He then called me the next day with an outrageous price, knowing I wouldn't do the repair at the price he gave. I told him to have his guy just bring it back and he said I would have to pay another 20.00 to do that.
I called a nearby repair person to check on the price of a comparable repair. He told me that there have been many people ripped off by this man and that he may even steal these appliances. Now he can fix mine and resell it because that is (17500) an outrageous price to repair it and he knew I wouldn't have him do it. I am now in a jam and at his mercy.
