I, too, have had trouble with Midland Mortgage since my loan was bought by them. I have struggled to pay, but if you get past a certain "past-due" date, they will not even accept a month's payment, they require that you catch up in full. I don't know about everybody else, but $950 is hard to come up with all at once.
Since they don't accept payments past their "past-due" date, it is very easy to get behind. Then they file foreclosure, and charge an attorney's fee. Then you are further behind) I have paid the attorney's fee several times.
I have just recently filed bankruptcy on the past-due payments just to keep my home. I cannot refinance, since it is past due. My interest rate is currently 10.5%. I have tried everything to prevent bankruptcy, but cannot find another solution. Starting next month, my house pmt will be $300, but the bnkrptcy pmt will be around $500... I have no where else to live, so I have no choice, again.
