Do not open an embrace card... EVER!!! They are a rip off!!! This company is a HUGE rip off. I opened up this card to help with an old credit card that was going to charge me off. My balance of the old card was transferred (since it was closed already and in collections) to this Embrace card so that I can start to repay it and fix my credit. All was fine with that and I actually made all of my payments on time and stayed under my limit on the new charges as well. Well... 8 months later they decide to RETRANSFER that amount to the card saying that it wasn't done properly in the first place, which was a lie.By doing this, they made my bill $165 MORE than what it was PLUS because I was never notified that this was going to happen and I had used my card for CHRISTMAS, it made my account go OVER THE LIMIT. We all know that when you have a card and it goes over the limit that they charge you EVERY month $35 that it is over the limit. I feel ripped off majorly. I called the company on a Wednesday and spoke to a 'Ryan', I know he wasn't a Ryan by his accent, but I worked for collection agency's in the past and know that they all use allias' anyway. He told me that this problem was THEIR error and that it would reflect that in 2 business days and to call back. I called back on Friday (the 2nd business day) and spoke to a woman, I didn't get her name, but what does it matter when they don't use their real names anyway. She told me basically the same thing that 'Ryan' said... It was an error on THEIR part and to call back on the following Wednesday and it would all be fixed. Well, I call on Wednesday the guy I spoke to said to call back in 2 business days and it woud reflect the difference since this was THEIR error. I called today, which was 2 business days later and the guy on the phone tells me that it is MY charge. That it was the balance from the previous card... WHICH WAS ALREADY ON THE CARD AND PAID!!! So I ask for a Manager and argued with another idiot on the phone. Then after being on hold for a total of 22 minutes a Supervisor gets on the phone and is trying to explain to me that I am being charged TWICE for the same bill, but in his own words that didn't make sense. He can barely get out the ENGLISH words to explain, which is aggravating in itself, then to just sound STUPID by repeating the same thing over and over again without realizing that he was making any sense at all. I then proceeded to ask him for HIS MANAGER... To which he tells me, is NOT THERE... How convenient. He said he would be more than happy to have the MGR call me back if I was willing to give out my phone #, which I did. So I then said, he can call me anytime, I don't care what time it is. I ask what his name is and he tells me that due to security reasons, he can't tell me the manager's name over the phone... ARE YOU SERIOUS??? I am furious with this company and I think that I made that VERY clear to those I spoke to on the phone today.

Do not open an embrace card... Ever!!! They are a rip off!!!
