I have held a Target Credit Card since 1997. I have only been late with my payment two other times in 5 years and one of them times was by only 8-9hours. Well I didn't get a statement last month and I had cut up and thrown away my card. Hus I had no phone number to call about this problem at the time. When I got my statement this month I just decided to wait and pay the current and past due at the same time. (After all they've already charged me a late fee). He problem begins when I got a phone call from Retailers yesterday asking about the payment.
I told them I was planning to pay it next week (before the due date) and they tried to get me to give them a check over the phone and I said no, I would pay it at the store. Hey were getting persistant about wanting a phone payment so I finally hung up. Today I get a phone call from a woman about my payment and she would not listen to what I had to say. I tried to say that I was taking it in on Thursday. She wasn't hearing it, so I ended the conversation.
Then she calls back again this afternoon, same thing. I asked her if they were going to call everyday until I pay it, and she said "Yes we will". I think this is plain harassment. I had already told her I would have the payment in on Thursday. It's ridicules since I only missed the payment last month. I can't wait to have that card paid off and be done with them.
