Had an account go to collection. The account was given to Unistates CA LLC. The account was then taken from Unistates CA LLC and given to another company. Account has ben taken care of with second company. Contacted credit reporting agency and they confirmed that Unistates no longer has this account. Credit report still showing that Unistates has a collection for the same account as the one that is taken care of. Dispute has been filed by credit report agency.
I tried several times to contact Unistates, the only thing I got was voice mail. No return call. I would advise to start at the original creditor and follow your trail to where it is at now, that is how I found out that Unistates CA LLC is trying to collect on an account that is no longer there's to collect.
