This is a copy of the letter I sent to Triad and state attorneys in states where this company operates:
How can you possibly state that this company has concern for your customers? The deceptive practices that Triad is using will not go unannounced. This day and age of tough times does not give you permission to drag people who are already struggling "down below the water line!" I have paid on my car for 6 years, yes I have been late, yes I have had to have two payments pushed to the end of my loan because of a serious illness, yes your company failed to inform me at any time of the outrageous charges that were added to my loan, yes I have requested a printout of those charges, yes instead of receiving that information my car was repossessed, yes it was picked up 3 weeks prior to the end of my loan, yes every time we talk to someone at your company the charges change - by thousands! And yes I am STILL requesting a printout of the charges! How can Triad possibly continue to bully people who have paid off their loans? I am sure that the state's attorney of Texas, California, and any other state I find out you operate in will be receiving a complaint. Every state I am contacting has a law that says a company has to disclose procedures (and follow them) for disputes which was NOT DONE AT ANY POINT! $7000 being tacked onto a loan is beyond deceptive, it is horrific! No car is worth that much money after 6 years! If I am struggling to pay a loan, your answer is to make it impossible for me to pay it off. When I made the last double payment, why was I not informed at that time to kiss the car goodbye or pay for it all over again in one cash payment? People that we talk to at Triad leave out important details like extra charges, or that the total they are telling you is a one day only come up with it all in cash today total. Let's not forget that anyone telling you they will call you back throws your number away as soon as they hang up the phone! This is not they way to run a business. I am fighting for my life here, and all I have gotten from Triad is taking the car and no we don't care to tell you any detailed information why or how you can get it back!
