This company really stuck it to us and normally we wouldn't have been fooled, however we were and it happened. After we had gone online and filled out a couple of applications to obtain a personal loan to catch up and pay off some bills and get christmas for the kids, this company calls and (yes i did apply on their website) states that we were approved for a loan however we would need to send money upfront, normally I would tell this person to go to h*ll, but i had asked if we could send half of the "security deposit" and then once the funds fell into our account we would send the other the half.
Rhonda Paisley the representive w/the Co. Said that she would talk to the lender, about thirty mins. Later she called back and stated that the lender had approved that half be sent 1st and then the other half could be sent later. Well, we went to wal-mart and sent a money gram, and to be honest my gut told me not to do it, however in the long run greed won out and we sent it. Needless to say the "loan" was never received, bills weren't caught up and paid off and now we're alot more money short for Christmas.in the long run as, I look back at what happend, it's a lesson learned, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through this.
Just so the next person knows.
1. It is illegal to send money to get money.
2. Company's like this request you send the "security deposit" money gram or western union, so the money you send them can't be tracked, and money gram and western union will not give you your moeny back. Once sent it's gone.
3. If your approved for a loan or credit you shouldn't have to send money to get the loan, it should be taken off the top of the loan or added to it.
4. And you can't get something for nothing.
