I opened a Salute Visa in June and was given a $300.00 limit. Upon opening the account, they automatically charged my account $150.00.in addition to that charge, prior to being able to use the credit card for the first time they wanted an additional $20.00. I have always paid my account on time, and this month (November), I received a statement telling me that my account was past due, it is not due until December 8, and that I have been charged a late fee of $35.00. As mentioned, I have never paid this card late and at on this date it is still not late.
Furthermore, I was charged an over limit fee of $35.00 for going over by. 1 penny! I tried to contact a CSR for Salute Visa and there is no longer a phone number for contact. I went to the web address that is on the statement and it does not exist. That is how I found this site (consumer complaintss). STAY AWAY FROM THIS CONSUMER RIPOFF, HOPEFULLY THE LAW WILL CATCH UP TO THEM!
I cut the card in half, and I'll deal with them later.
