Holding direct deposits

We opened a checking account at a local bank when we moved into town. We wanted the convience of a local bank. Every thing was going well with the first direct deposit, we received it on Saturday morning. Then two weeks later when it was time for the next deposit nothing. I called the bank and they said they didn't show a deposit. I waited until Monday morning, and called again now they were showing the deposit. I asked why they held the deposit, and their response was that "they don't hold deposits, it was the employers fault". My husband contacted his HR department, and was told that all direct deposits are sent out Friday. He was told that the bank is the one holding the deposit. So once again we contacted the bank, they repeated the same thing about it's all the employers fault. The next month the deposits came in like they were suppose to on Saturday mornings. Now once again here we are and there isn't a deposit. This time when I contacted the bank they were rude, and said that they couldn't tell us if there was any pending transactions, but that deposits are processes though out the day. We have decided to go back with our old bank out of town. The money was always in the bank when it was suppose to be. I would warn people to watch out for this bank they are not above lying. I wish I had done my research before switching, thank goodness that my old bank was more then welcome to take us back with all the same account numbers.
