I was contacted by a company today called Hudson Lending Group. The gentleman that I spoke with said that his name was Henry Lancaster. Mr. Lancaster tells me that I had applied for a loan, but he did not know what company I had applied through. He said that the amount that I had applied for was too LOW and his company deals with loans that start at $5,000. Mr. Lancaster said that I was pre-approved for the loan... He stated that he had to go through several banks and lending institutions to try and get me approved. He said that if that did not work, he could go through private sectors that would require me to make a security deposit in order to get the loan, usually anywhere between $700-$900. Mr. Lancaster asked me if I would be able to make that payment today... Now, if I had that kind of money, would i need a loan? I knew something was up, but I went along with it and told him yes. Mr. Lancaster said that he would call me back within an hour.
So i decided to check this company out on the internet. And I came across this website and saw the complaints, so I was anxiously awaiting Mr. Lancaster's call.
Mr. Lancaster called me back at 6:42PM... He told me that there was some good news and some bad news. The bad news was I didn't get approved through a bank (of course not), but the good news was that he found a private lender and all i had to do was pay 7 months worth of payments up front. The payments were approx. $117 and change a month, so I would have to pay a security deposit of approx. $820 and change.
Mr. Lancaster then asked me for my fax number and that is when I told him about the reports on this website. Then it got ugly. Mr. Lancaster proceeded to call me a liar and said that he was going to sue me for making false allegations. He said that his company has never been reported and all of the allegations were false. I explained to him that I had read all 14 reports and it was the exact same scam that the others had been through, right down to the payments and everything. Mr. Lancaster then called me a MONKEY and said that if I could read, I would see that it was not his company.
I asked Mr. Lancaster why was he so offended and defensive if it was not his company. He said that a MONKEY should be able to distinguish between truth and reality. He proceeded to call me MONKEY approx 10 more times. I told him that I am a college-educated female and I can read and I know a scam when I see one. He called me MONKEY and then my last name and told me that i wasted my money on college if i couldn't see that it wasn't his company. I told him that he shouldn't refer to me as a MONKEY, because that is a racial slur that really offended me... And I told him that i was portuguese, irish, armenian and indian... His reply..."oh so you are a MUTT"!!
By then, I am laughing because he was getting more and more pissed over the fact that he did not get my money! I ended the call laughing and told him that i always read "if a company offers you a loan and asks you for a security deposit, BEWARE"!!!
Be in the lookout for this company, I'm sure they are coming to a city near you!!!
