Discover Card
Account Guard

Owns Account guard. If you dispute Account guard charges they enter into a conflict of interest. Discover card, during my dispute, contacted an attorneys office and served me papers. I believe this violates FCBA policies. My understanding is that they cannot take legal action during a dispute. I believe they never had intentions of removing account guard charges and additonal finance charges associated with these purchases. The last year I had this card there werew 1700.00 dollars in finance charges and not one purchase from me. I believe the inten from Discover was to charge me 100% interest on the loan one way or another. Now I have an attorney trying to sue me for 10,000 when i was disputing 4,000 because my balance should have been closer to 2000.00. They destroyed my credit in the process which violates FCBA policies during a dispute.
So, in a sense, they want to destroy my credit and have me pay a total of 15,000 after all is said and done. This all on a card with a 5000.00 limit that should have had a balance of 2000.00 after removing the account guard and finance charges associated with them. This was the original dispute but instead of admitting it, they decided to use other tactics to sweep it under the rug. This should not be allowed in the USA. I have more than enough proof on this and feel they should be punished. Anyone starting a class action suit please email me.

There is a conflict of interest when the 'director' knows that at the time of a commiment that he or a related person is 1) party to the transaction or 2) has a beneficial financial interest in the transaction.
