Suspect a margin violation by e-trade, it panicked Fri 10/10/08 when the market fell like crazy. Sent out a message on the account (not thru email) a margin call that day with a due date that day, and within less than 2 hours sold account holdings on its own and then sent out, this time thru email the next day, saying you have 'trade confirmations"
Inadequate time (due date) given after margin notice (in account), and sold out same day as notice given without any authorization from account holder. Do you know what to do now?
