Fraud Bailout Program

In October I phoned Countrywide requesting information of a government program that would help homeowners. I spoke with a rep and he provide me with the following information:
1. Countrywide will reduce your principle of your loan to the current home value
2. Provide you with a 30 year fixed mortgage

The requirement was for me to provide financial documents, and a few other items. I provided all required information that same day.

I called Countrywide every month for the status of my application. I was told that it was in review and someone would give me a call. This went on for more than 6 months and finally I received confirmation over the phone that my application was approved. Few days later I received a letter that I was denied. I tried to call the company back and no one would work with me.

I finally had to file BK to release the neg am loan that should not have be an option.
