My wife and I were notified by mail from Countrywide that an employee may have sold personal information (name, address, SS number, mortgage loan number, and other loan application information) and that a joint investigation is being conducted by Countrywide and law enforcement.
As a measure of good faith and and our protection Countrywide is offering us membership in Triple Advantage credit monitoring service for two years.
Because Triple Advantage seems to be a Countrywide vendor this seems a little suspect and I am anxious to hear anything regarding this Countrywide (Ex) employee and the breach of security regarding our personal information.
I am disabled and on a fixed income which prevents me from seeking legal advice and/or action against Contrywide.
