I had an account with PNC Bank, but had to close it out, asap, because they were robbing me blind. They stole a total of $2200 out of my checking account, one was a $1000 deposit thatwas conveniently LOST, even though I had the receipt. Also, they stole $500 out of a joint savings account, and I was told that someone came INTO the bank to remove THAT money, which neither my husband nor I did, because we wanted the money to sit and collect interest. Then I had $1700.00 stolen out of ATM's, ALL at the same Broad and Locust location. A friend found a lawyer for me who would work pro bono. He told me that he had 8 other clients who werebeing robbed by PNC, too, and it all seemed to be coming from the Broad and Locust Branch. We were able to obtain the CCTV tapes from inside the bank Broad and Locust branch, where my $1000 was deposited an lost, AND also the CCTV tapes from the ATM. When the lawyer looked at the tapes, he found that the cameras were set up so that you couldn't SEE anything!!! Real nice, and so nothing could be proved, however, he got PNC on the shoddy way they set up their closed-circuit system, and I won $2500. PNC appealed this decision, and it was shot down, but with all their money and all their shyster lawyers, they managed to get my claim overturned, and get this... It all seemed to hang on a recording of a 911 call I made (a phone bank teller told me I should make a police report). This woman answered the 911 call, and I asked for an officer to be sent out. When she asked the nature of the problem, I told her it was bank theft and I wanted to file a report. I also mentioned my husband, because we both had a joint savings account. Welll, this idiot proceeds to tell me that it wasn't the bank, it was my HUSBAND who was robbing me, on and on. I said, excuse me, but she didn't know my husband, it is none of her business, and just send out an officer. So, the bank got ahold of this tape, and the next judge was moron enough to take this as an eye-witness account!!! My claim was overturned, and I got no money at all. Meanwhile, my husband still has an account with PNC that he still can't close, because our belovedrealtors, William Penn Realty Group, in all their glory, suddenly accuses us of not paying June and July's 2007 rent, and we most certainly did. The cancelled checks reside on the PHONE BANK SYSTEM and the Internet SYSTEM of PNC, but NOT on any of the walk-in banks. My husband can call the phone bank, have them read off who the checks were written to and for how much. My hub asked zillions of phone bank reps to send us faxes of these cancelled checks, and NO ONEwill comply. He also reported a lost card, MONTHs ago, and no one from PNC will send him a new card! Consequently, his online account is deactivated, and he can't get check copies from THAT, either. We tried getting the cancelled rent checks from the physical branches, and his checks do not reside on their system!!! SOOOO, we cannot prove to our realtor that we PAID the rent, and they refuse to listen on an extension while my husband talks to a phone bank representative. We also have certified receipts, proving that we sent their rent to thierdamed PO box in NEWARK NJ. No, the realtors only want to see the CANCELLED CHECKS. So, it seems that ever since that 911 imbecileblamed my husband for thieving my/our accounts, his name has somehow become mud, at PNC. We could not afford to pay the rent for 2 months, AGAIN, and we have been knocking our brains out, trying to get these cancelled check copies. We even got the PA Dept. Of Banking in on it, and STILL, after TWO FINES to PNC, they STILL will not release copies of these checks to us. Are these cretins at PNC SOOO vindictive, that they would rather pay the fines, JUST so they can punish us for taking them to court??? Yes, how DARE I not want them to ROB me! I have never seen such a horrible bank, in my life. So, now we have been slapped with a letter from William Penn's lawyer, telling us to pay $2,415.00in back rent and legal fees, or ELSE! We can't afford to move and we don't have the$2,415.00! All because of PNC and of course, throw in a shyster realtor who doesn't care, and it is a perfect recipe for disasterWe are at a loss of what to do. We have no one to take us, in, either. Something should be done to STOP vicious retard corporations like this. So that is MY story, and it's a real doozy!
