Suntrust won't release my funds after fraudulent charges to my credit card

So I purchased a LCD TV online for $1500, only to later find out that the company I ordered from is running a scam and never sends their TVs—ever. Cancelled my order with them after 5 days and no tracking number, but even after 3 calls there was no refund to my credit card. (drplasma.com is the culprit, by the way) 2-3 weeks after ordering, of course I have not received my TV, and the merchant's phone number no longer works (of course), I went to Suntrust and filed an affidavit regarding my situation.

They told me at the bank that it should be resolved within 10 days. Now today I called (14 days later) and asked Suntrust where my money was. I was informed that I would have to wait a MINIMUM of FOUR MONTHS to get my money back. What in the world are they doing that takes 4 whole months to accomplish?

So until January, I am out of 1507 dollars, and no HDTV in sight. My friend uses Bank of America, who instantly refunds moneys into his account upon the day the dispute is opened. If the customer loses the dispute, they end up having to pay the charges. Why Suntrust doesn't do this, I don't know. I am closing my accounts and moving my credit card. This is not the middle ages.
