And Finance - Clayton Homes Vanderbilt Blood suckers

Well, here I am again, writing and complaining. I cannot BELIEVE that noone has taken these guys out yet. Well, we have the same problems as ALL of you have. Most likely we've had EVERY SINGLE problem that you all have had. Our payment started out as $639 when we were with Oakwood Acceptance, back in 2002. Now, here it is at the end of 2008 and our monthly payment is now $964. Yep, that's right... Almost doubled. What seems to happen is this. Without notice, they start drafting for our taxes (which is not supposed to be included) and then all of a sudden we receive notices that we don't have insurance (which we do) and they start drafting us for that. Almost every month I have to fax a copy of our current homeowners policy to them or get my insurance company to fax them. (Which they're also getting tired of doing.) I FINALLY have a decent rep who has not spoken one single harsh word to us... Even if we're late. He's actually really helpful. It still doesn't change the fact that we've put up with pure he* for the last 5-6 years. Sure, go ahead and try to get refinanced. You most likely won't get anywhere unless you deal with your local bank. It seems none of the mortgage companies feel like dealing with them either. It's rumored that Vanderbilt is companied with the largest mortgage company... Chase. So, what are we all supposed to do? Keep getting kicked in the ba*s until the government shuts them down I suppse. We've had reps come to our house, calling neighbors and relatives, been cursed... YES, CURSED AT, threats to repo. Once I was actually threatened by one. Her exact words were, "You and your family will be homeless because if we have to we'll burn it down while you're not home. We don't want your piece of sh@# house, we just want you to pay for it on time!" By the way, this call came in just 3 days after payment was due. Now, we purposely pay late sometimes, just to see what gets said. My husband works for himself, by himself and that's the only income we receive, for I am unable to physically work. So, when we don't get paid from our clients, we have no money to pay on time... Simply put. Well, I actually had a rep try to discuss employment options for me once. Like it was her business why I didn't have a job to help out with the bills. IF ANY CLASS ACTION SUIT EVER ARISES, WE WANT TO BE INCLUDED! Good luck and Godspeed to everyone!
