Financial Services Group sends out post card indicating that a large amount ($1100 in my case) has been located in your name, that they will get your money back to you with "no out of pocket expense" but you must come into their office to start the process. They will give no information whatsoever over the phone as to where the money is coming from or why.
Only after you have surrendered a form of ID and the original post card will they tell you that it's a county property tax adjustment, and they will get you the money provided you sign a limited power of attorney for them to file with the county on you behalf.
After you've signed the power of attorney based on the "no cost" postcard", and have no copies of any paperwork, they put their "final terms of contract" sheet before you forcing you to sign 100% of any found money over to them. Your can either walk out the door with nothing and hope they tear up the already signed paperwork or sign it all over to them.
